In the room, this nurse nonchalantly tells me that they can't do a physical because I'm a new patient and they don't do physicals in the first appointment. Obviously, this info would have been helpful if someone had told me this when I scheduled it. Apparently the first appointment is to get to know the patient a.k.a. take more of their money. She then proceeds to ask me all of the same questions that I just filled out on the paperwork in the waiting room. I said, "isn't it all right there in my paperwork?" She flips to the next page and says, "oh yeah, it's here".... uhhhh DUHHHH why wouldn't it be???? What kind of office are you running there!?!?

Problem, the services I was seeking, specifically RX's for PAIN MGMNT are NOT currently available :
I proactively scheduled an appmnt, seeking a new 'Pain Mgmnt-Doctor:
I have been bringing my daughter here since birth. She is now going on 6 and we just love Dr. Julie and Dr. Jane. They are such wonderful doctors and they aren't always trying to push medicines down my child's throat. They are always helpful, always kind, and my daughter adores them. Highly recommend this for pediatrics! My husband and I just started going here so not too much to say about the adult end of it. We both had met with Stefanie Osterloh for one appointment and she is a very nice person and easy to speak to.
I have been going to Family Practice of Crofton for many years. Eight of those years I have seen Dr. Tadamala (aka Dr. T). I was sad to learn on my last appointment with her that she would be leaving the practice. I will miss her. She always took her time with me and knew who I was every visit right from the beginning. She was a great doctor. From what I understand the new doctor comes on board in March. Another female doctor which I like. She has big shoes to fill but I'm sure they didn't hire just any doctor to replace Dr. T.
Confusion as related to options & services:
Pretty much the worst doctor's office I have been to... maybe ever.
The bright side is that I think this good group of People who will Listen-Learn and ACT accordingly in the future to avoid everyone's time, effort and costs being WASTED ! & ?
When the doctor came in, she educated me on Vitamin D and importance of cutting down sugar which I appreciated... however, she also spent about 10 full minutes explaining how and when she would contact me with my bloodwork results and the info contradicted itself.
How do I know that a nurse there had an abortion when she was 15 and she's super glad she did because otherwise she'd have a 17 year old right now? Because while I was waiting for my appointment with my SIX YEAR OLD daughter, the nurse told her story to the other nurses about 5 feet away from us. I'm pro-choice so it has nothing to do with politics-- it's just plain and simple INAPPROPRIATE. The first place she went to get it done wouldn't do it the same day so her mom took her to Baltimore and they got it done.
The nurses then began cackling about how they're supposed to scan certain things into the system but they don't do it because they don't feel like it.
I've been going there for now 12 years with my oldest daughter and 3 years ago I had a little girl and she has been going since birth. My husband and I just love Dr. Julie, Dr. Jane and Nurse Ed. The place isn't the prettiest but I really don't care about that. I love the fact that the doctors have a great relationship with my girls and us. They remember us & know my daughter's histories. They are incredibly knowledgeable and well studied. I can go to them with anything. I have spoken to them over the weekend and in the wee hours of the morning about breathing problems, illnesses, potty training concerns... They are always so helpful and full of suggestions on how to make my girls feel better and to put my mind at ease. I selfishly hope that they don't retire until both of my daughters are too old to see a pediatrician!
After my infuriating appointment, I waited another 10-15 minutes to get my blood work referral.
Cluttered office w/ hideous artwork, busted frames, etc.
Same abortion-convo nurse finally calls me back for my appointment (30 minutes late) and I'm thinking she may need a black history lesson because if you don't know how to pronounce my last name, you have never learned about one of the most important black men in history. She laughed while she called out various ignorant versions of my very simple-to-pronounce name and that upset my daughter.
